A couple of weeks ago I graduated from my Higher National Diploma in Graphic Design and had my End of Year Exhibition. For the exhibition we were given a space that allowed us to print a 1M x 2M banner with a selction of our work from the past two years and we were given a table so we could display print outs of our work, business cards etc. For my banner I chose my editiorial design from my first year, my direct mail from my first year and from my final year I chose my marketing project and a logo design project. On my table I displayed print outs of my final major project and my packaging project from my final year. I felt these were my strongest projects and reflect my style the most.
Also to go on my table I displayed my portfolio, my final major project sketchbook and business cards that I had printed at Moo.com. I decided to go for square cards because I felt my personal logo worked better in that shape. I went for the luxe cards that have three layers of 200GSM with the middle layer being bright pink. I also had some postcards printed from Printed.com on silk paper. I used a design I created for my final major project. I also printed the same design on to some cotton tote bags.
After the exhibition I attended Meetdraw's Big Bash On The Beach which was an event to celebrate Dorset being the Fastest Growing Digital Hub in the UK. It was such a fun event and amazing way to end my two years studying for my HND and made me very excited to get out there and start my graphic design career.
